In Memory of Stephanie Jane Joslin
At Davin Healthcare, we believe in supporting not only the current population of caregivers but also the future generations yet to come. That is why we couldn’t be happier to announce the recipient of the Future of Nursing Scholarship, Tracey Tyree.
“My time at Saratoga Hospital has been a journey. I have advanced considerably over the last several years, moving from secretary to patient care assistant to RN and now clinical coordinator. I have grown both professionally and personally with each role change. My most recent promotion to Clinical Coordinator has been the most challenging yet. I have risen to the challenge of this new role, specifically around staffing challenges. As Saratoga Hospital continues to operate during this pandemic, staffing has been a monumental challenge. While consistently working to meet staffing challenges, I provide leadership during a time when we are working with an increasingly sick population and a critically high hospital census.
I am always looking to encourage my co-workers as well. I was recognized for my mentoring proficiency when one of my orientees nominated me for a Gold Star recognition. Last year I helped get one of the department’s patient care assistants to be designated as an Employee of the Month.
I am an active participant on four Hospital committees (skincare, safe patient handling, quality, and clinical practice council). In addition, I was part of the effort to designate Saratoga Hospital as an Age Friendly Facility and supported the planning and implementation of the Medical/Surgical Skills Days.
I’m very thankful for the scholarship funds and how it has helped me advance my career.”
