Colby Carter brings over 14 years of experience in physician and advanced practice recruitment to Davin Healthcare’s Permanent Placement Division. He has successfully worked with both healthcare systems and national search firms, building strong relationships and delivering high-quality clinical talent.
Known for his consultative approach and deep industry insight, Colby plays a key role in connecting Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals with facilities nationwide. His expertise supports Davin’s mission to provide exceptional, long-term staffing solutions for healthcare organizations.

Michael Spellman
Regional Client Relationship Manager
Regional Client Relationship Manager, Michael Spellman, brings nearly a decade of experience in both Business Development and Account Management within the healthcare staffing industry. Known for fostering strong partnerships and enhancing client satisfaction, he specializes in understanding the unique needs of healthcare organizations and delivering tailored solutions that drive positive outcomes. From implementing direct Single Source staffing agreements with health systems, to working through both large and small MSP programs, Michael’s considerable knowledge of the staffing industry allows him to find the most successful solutions for his staffing partners.

Matthew Hickling, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC
CNO of Clinical Workforce Solutions
Matthew is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with a strong background in intensive care, hematology/oncology, and emergency medicine. A recognized leader in school health and nursing policy, he brings deep clinical insight and a passion for advocacy to his role. As CNO, he supports Davin Healthcare’s Permanent Placement Division by championing quality care, provider-patient relationships, and long-term workforce solutions.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys time outdoors with his family and supports local nonprofits like Maddie’s Mark.

Founder & CEO
President and CEO David Theobald brings forth his knowledge and experience from working at the bedside to now being an experienced Doctor in Nursing Leadership. A prime focus of Dave’s initiatives is developing long-term solutions for the nursing shortage with attention to educational advancement and research-based strategies to help hospitals improve their retention rates and provide top-quality patient care.
