On May 12th, Davin Healthcare Workforce Solutions hosted its annual DAISY Award Ceremony. The Davin Healthcare team came together to honor this year’s recipient of the DAISY Foundation’s DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses®, Jacquleen Priamo, RN, MSN.
“Jackie has received wonderful feedback from the facility as well as from patients. She is kind, caring, and a great nurse!” – Kristie, DAVIN Recruiter
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses® was established in 1999 by members of the family of Patrick Barnes. He was 33 years old and died of complications of the auto-immune disease ITP. Like many families who go through this kind of horrific loss, the Barnes family wanted to do something positive to honor the very special man Patrick was. Pat’s family created The DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses. What started out as a thank you from their family to nurses has grown into a meaningful recognition program embraced by healthcare organizations around the world. We are very proud to partner with the DAISY Foundation as we have extraordinary nurses here at Davin Healthcare.
A family member of a patient wrote a letter thanking the nurses for the care of their father in his final moments. There were a few staff members that stood out for going above and beyond and Jackie is one of them. Here is a quote from a family member:
“Please recognize these staff members for being the best of the best. Your staff allowed us to spend some much-needed time with our dad which gave us a sense of peace and closure. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing experience.”
