Lydia O’Connell

My husband was brought to your ER department where he was cared for until he was pronounced dead. I would like to commend a nurse who stood by my son’s and my side throughout the entire ordeal her name was Lydia. She was kind, understanding and compassionate. She stood by me and was crying with me and my son as we said our good-bye to my husband’s body. These are the nurses that the future of medicine continues to need. As technology and science advance the human side of people seems to disappear and it was nice to know that Lydia had the objectivity and the sensitivity that was needed by myself and my son.
It took me a while to come up with the right words before I could write this letter to the hospital. My life and world will never be the same since I lost my husband. I would like to thank Lydia for her compassionate care.
