Jenna Nolan Takes Action to Help Find a Cure

11 Jan, 2024

I think one’s feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all to be distilled into actions which bring results” – Florence Nightingale.

Jenna Nolan, RN at Stat Staff Professionals, has done some remarkable relief work during her nursing career. Last year, Jenna went to Haiti on a medical mission, and recently, Jenna donated convalescent plasma to support the COVID-19 cure cause. Read her reflection on plasma donation below:

“Someone recently told me that one day, my grandchildren will ask me what it was like to be a nurse during the Coronavirus pandemic. Words will be sparse at that time, as we nurses have succumbed to the whirlwind of a pandemic, and I find it hard for me to remember most details of my day. One thing I will not forget is my actions. Contracting the virus that has caused a pandemic was fear-provoking, to say the least. Hearing almost daily from Kathy, Lauryn, and Victoria, and knowing that I had support and thoughts of wellness for a speedy recovery from Dave and the rest of the Stat Staff crew was comforting and made me feel part of a team instead of part of just a job.  The decision to donate my convalescent plasma never held a second thought. To give hope and recovery to patients and their families is an action that gives me happiness and embodies my passion to heal. It defines for me what it means to be a nurse.”

This generous donation will aid in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19 in others. Thank you, Jenna, for all that you do, you are a true hero!
